New Voices
New Voices is a new academic journal published by the Japan Foundation, Sydney. It is a biennial journal designed to provide a forum for young researchers to introduce their personal research interests and to exchange their ideas.
The New Voices project has been developed as the next phase of Australianese and Japaralians?: A Celebration of Transformation at the Australia–Japan Interface, the 10th anniversary forum of the Japan Foundation, Sydney, which was coordinated by Dr. Yuji Sone in 2003. Dr. Sone was the primary editor of Volume 1 of New Voices.
The contributors have been encouraged to mix scholarly discussion with personal experience in order to make the journal accessible to a wider audience. We hope that readers will enjoy the intriguing personal stories and exciting academic research presented in New Voices.
