Free Library Card
(General or Junior category)
The Free library card provides basic loan services to residents of Australia aged 18 and older.
Minors between the age of 15 and 17 can also apply for the card with a guarantor’s approval. The guarantor must live at the same address as the junior card applicant.

You will need to complete a membership application form.

To apply for a free library card, please bring the following documents:
Proof of your name (eg. N.S.W. driver’s license, passport, medicare card, credit card)
Proof of your permanent residential address (eg. N.S.W. driver’s license, a bank statement or utility bill under your name or your guarantor’s name for a junior card)
Borrowing terms
Members may borrow 5 items for 3 weeks.
Some items are classified as “Short-term Loan Items” that may be borrowed for up to 7 days without the option of loan renewal.
In-person loan only.
Items with age restrictions (eg. <R> rated DVD) are not available for loan to junior card holders.

Loan Renewal Loans can be renewed twice. Each renewal is for a period of 3 Weeks from the day you request the renewal *unreserved items only
