I enjoy working with engraving because it is very similar to drawing but it requires deeper observation of the subject. Somehow, when I'm engraving, I need to keep a mental picture of the subject and its personality' in my head, so I can see it from all angles, aware of its muscle movements, energy, shadow and so on. |
