Grant Program for Cultural Presentation
This program offers a grant to cover the partial cost of cultural events conducted overseas by Japanese culture specialists (individual or small sized groups) to enhance the understanding of Japanese culture in various countries.

Grant Program for Overseas Performances (For Japanese groups or individuals)
This program is designed to provide financial assistance for Japanese artists in the performing arts field who perform overseas or present international co-productions, as well as citizen/youth performance groups that implement international cultural exchanges at the local level with public and young people through performing arts activities.

Can I apply for both Publication and Translation support in the same application?
Yes, under this program you can either apply for 'translation only', 'publication only' or 'translation and publication' support. For translation support, priority is given to translations of texts included in the "List of Recommended Works" specified by the Foundation. For 'publication only' projects, the program refers to the publication of newly written works.
 
 
 
Does the Japan Foundation, Sydney offer an Artist-in-Residence program to Japan?
No. The Japan Foundation does however have an Artist-in-Residence database, which lists organisations in Japan who offer Artist-in-Residence programs. Please see

Does the Japan Foundation offer grants for performing arts exchange between Japan and Australia?
No. The Japan Foundation does however have a website which provides current information on the performing arts scene in Japan. Please see
