The Japan Foundation Gallery is dedicated to connecting audiences in Australia to Japanese culture through the arts. Showcasing art works by Japanese and Australian artists alike, exhibitions range from traditional to contemporary art and artisanal work, including printmaking, dyeing, photography, painting, ceramics, installations and more. This gallery is run by The Japan Foundation, Sydney.

Above and Below: Arts on the streets

May 2 - 28, 2016

Above and Below: Art on the Streets is a visually striking exhibition bringing to you a mix of art works inspired by urban Japan. The joint exhibition will feature paintings by Dennis McCart and silkscreen prints by multi-disciplinary duo Painting Installation Travel Society.

Akiko Ikeuchi: Silk Thread Installations

June 6 to July 1, 2016

This self-titled exhibition, Akiko Ikeuchi, will feature silk thread sculptures by Tokyo-based artist Akiko Ikeuchi. Drawings and etchings by the artist, which resemble microscopic patterns and infinite fractal nets, will also be on display to complement the architecture of her installations.
