Important Notice: Discontinuation of Teachers’ Membership
In order to streamline our loan procedures and rectify inconsistencies in standards, we have decided to discontinue issuing the Teacher Membership Card from 1 July 2008. Existing teacher library cardholders can still enjoy borrowing privileges until the expiry date noted on their card. Teachers, who wish to apply for or renew their library card, can send an application form by 30 June 2008, and by then we will issue a new card valid until 30 June 2010.

Registered Mail Service
A nation-wide registered mail service is provided for teacher members. Each time a teacher wishes to borrow an item but is unable to visit the library; the Sydney Language Centre will pay for the postage and registered mail one way.

Using the call numbers indicated in the catalogue lists, teachers are asked to complete an application form for the item(s) they would like to borrow. This can be faxed or posted to the library, and the items will be posted as soon as they are required and/or available.
