Workshop: Japanese Tea Ceremony |
|
| |
| This class
will introduce chado, ‘the way of tea’, one of
the most fundamental of Japanese cultural traditions. The well-structured
etiquette of chado instills qualities that enhance our life,
such as hospitality, tranquility, philosophy, simplicity, discipline,
and art.
The Japanese Society of Sydney and the Japan Foundation, Sydney
are organising a one-day introductory class exclusive to JPF and
JSS members who would like to experience the art of tea drinking.
You will learn the philosophy behind the Japanese tea ceremony
and the etiquettes on how to receive and drink the tea.
