GAGAKU
MONASH UNIVERSITY
School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics

Gagaku is known as refined Japanese Court music. It has been performed over 1200 years. We have a rare opportunity to appreciate this ancient sound performed by Gagaku Music Society of Tenri University. The society was founded in 1951 and since then its members have actively been performing in Japan and overseas to promote Gagaku. Enjoy the unique ensemble in Melbourne.
