A fusion of Japan’s Superflat art movement and the trendy western skate culture, comes William “Bil” Anderson Jr’s latest contemporary exhibition, Totally Flat Consumer Camo.
Totally Flat Consumer Camo will feature a detailed series of canvas works with prominent manga-like characters executing skateboarding moves or tricks. Make sure you look out for Bil’s very own hand-sculpted gatchapons, a form of lucky toy contained within small plastic capsules, usually obtained via vending machines.
Bil aims to secure manufacturing contracts sometime in the near future to turn his Superflat characters into action figures for gatchapons.
An eclectic mix of modern pop culture today, Totally Flat Consumer Camo is the second exhibition in the Facetnate! series. |
