Based on the best-selling novel by Yoshimoto Banana. Born with a weak heart and spoiled by her parents, Tsugumi is a precocious 18-year-old. During summer, Tsugumi meets and falls in love with Kyoichi, who works in the local art gallery. One of Tsugumi's old boyfriends, the leader of a gang of juvenile delinquents, attacks Kyoichi and kills Tsugumi's pet dog out of jealousy. Tsugumi decides to plan revenge.
