Takakiyo, a new student from Tokyo joins a 5th grade class in a small seaside town in Chiba. Takakiyo suffers from an abnormal bodily dysfunction, which immediately makes him unpopular with the kids at school. He eventually befriends Masaru and together on the way to school one day, notice a small pale hand overhanging from a window. The boys seek to find the owner of the hand only to discover that they are in for much more than they have bargained for.
